Cole had 2 visitors on Friday that were bearing gifts. Mindy and Nick weren't coming to the party so they both stopped by and brought Mr. Cole a present.

Mrs. Mindy got him some puzzles and a baseball toy. Thanks so much:)!

Cole woke up in a foul mood on his birthday morning:(! It only lasted a few seconds, but I did manage to get a cranky butt picture of him:)!

Birthday Boy

Can you believe he is 1 year old??? I sure can't!!! This time last year, I was STILL in labor!!! Cole wasn't actually born until 9:14pm after 30 HOURS of labor! He was worth every second of it:)! We are having his birthday party tomorrow, so I will post more birthday pics later.

After School

When I pick Cole up from school, I can't wait to get home and play! Here are some pictures from tonight...

So, we gave in and decided to get Cole a swing set for his birthday. It is far from being completely put together, but Cole and I decided to give it a test run tonight anyway:)...

Day 2

Cole made it through his 2nd day of school today. He got another good report. They only take 1 nap a day at school, and Cole normally takes 2 naps, so this is going to take some getting used to. The teacher told me he fell asleep on a stuffed giraffe in the corner this morning and slept for an hour. When it was nap time, Cole was wide awake so they sent him to the baby room to play. I'm sure he felt so big:)! Then, at about 4:00 he fell asleep on a mat in the middle of the floor. When I walked in to pick him up I peeked in the door to see what he was up to, and I saw him passed out! Music was blaring and all the kids were playing around him! He was worn out!!! Of course I didn't have my camera:(!

When we get home we head straight to the tub! As soon as we get all cleaned up I give him a big ole bottle. At school, all the kids drink out of sippy cups, so momma spoils him like a baby when he comes home:)!!!

The Rusher's came over for dinner on Friday night. We grilled out and enjoyed the nice weather.

Bailey

This is sort of a "Debbie Downer" post, but I wanted to let everyone know about Bailey. Bailey was my parents 12 year old weenie dog, and she got run over Wednesday evening. The guy that takes care of my parents pool had come by to check on some things, and when he left, he accidently ran over her. My mom yelled at Bailey, but she just didn't move in time. She didn't yelp or anything, and from the outside mom said you couldn't even tell anything had happened, so that is good, but it doesn't make it any easier:(! Mom and dad are taking it pretty hard. Bailey was my parents baby when Lindsey and I left home. She was the typical "Man's Best Friend"! As good as they come:)! I know she is in doggie heaven, but please keep my parents in your prayers. Some of you may think I am crazy, but if you have ever loved and lost an animal, you know what I mean. It's not fun:(!

This is a random picture, but it is the only one I could find of Bailey. She looked just like Lucy, except maybe a little longer and LEANER. Not to mention, a LOT more laid back! Lucy always sort of annoyed Bailey with her immature behavior:)!

School Days

Whew.....a day at school will wear a boy out!!! Cole passed out while eating dinner!

I didn't want to wake him up, so I reclined him and let him get some rest...

Cole got an excellent report today from school...

*He didn't even cry one time!

*He played well with all the other kids.

*He would start laughing and all the other kids would start laughing too:)!

*He would shake his head and all the other kids would start too.

*He loved pushing the wagon up and down the hall.

*He napped on his MAT (yes, I said MAT, not a crib) for 2 hours straight!

*He drank his formula out of a sippy cup.

*He had Jello for the first time

Hmmm...what else??? I'm sure there's more, but I can't remember.

Needless to say, he is EXHAUSTED!!!
