Big Boy

Walker

Here are some pictures of Cole in the walker that Peg brought him. We rolled up the rug on the kitchen floor and let him go to town. At first he could only go in reverse, and of course, he thought it should bounce like his Jumperoo, but once he got the hang of it, he thought he was pretty big:)!

Time To Lower The Crib

We decided it was time to lower Cole's crib. He still isn't even sitting up in his bed on his own, much less standing, so we probably could have waited a little longer, but I could just imagine that one day he would all of the sudden decide to do it all at once. You can tell by the pictures below that if he had, he would have been a goner! SO, needless to say, we lowered the crib and can now sleep peacefully at night, knowing that if Cole decides to get motivated enough to pull up on something, he won't topple over:)...

He's Back!

Well, Cole made it home safe and sound! Bud and Peg brought him home on Friday! I couldn't wait to get my hands on that little man! Patrick and I stayed very busy and had lots of fun together, but we sure did miss our baby!!! Bud and Peg took very good care of him, however, he did come home with his first ever runny nose:(! Mom felt horrible, but I finally convinced her that he could have gotten sick just as easy being at home with us! It is just that time of year, and everyone seems to be sick! Patrick and I have both not been feeling our best either.


Cole did come home with a new trick! I don't even think Bud realized that he taught him this, but Cole knows how to scream now! Not a mad/sad scream, but an "I'm excited and being funny" scream! My dad does this all the time. We tease him and tell him he has Tourette Syndrome, because he will just scream for the heck of it, just to get a reaction out of people. He must have done it alot to Cole, because now Cole does it to us! So funny!!!

Today he started "winking". I really don't think he knows what he is doing, but he started doing it when I was changing his diaper, and I said "are you winking?", and he kept doing it throughout the day when I would ask him to wink. He closes both eyes, so it is really more of a blink, than a wink, but it's still cute:)!

Here is a picture of Patrick and Cole taking a Sunday afternoon nap. Neither one of them were feeling good, so I made a quick trip to Wal-Mart, and this is what I found when I came home. So sweet:)!!!

Lucy

Lucy has thoroughly enjoyed being an only child this week! Monday night, we put up our Christmas tree and got rid of the pumpkins. Instead of just throwing out the baby pumpkins we had, we let Lucy play with them. She loves anything that resembles a ball!

Patrick and I are going to dinner at Bonefish tonight...Ahi Tuna, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pomegranate Martinis...! Yummy:)!!!

Our baby comes home tomorrow! We can't wait to see him!!!!!

Grammy

On Friday we drove to Little Rock to spend some QT with Grammy. She lives in the Hillcrest area, so we were going to stroll over to the Razorback game and tailgate for a bit, but the weather was so cold and nasty that we decided not to.

Where Oh Where Could My Baby Be?...

My mom took him away from me!!!

Cole is in Hope until Friday! Rhonda has her Mary Kay open house Tuesday-Thursday, so my mom had the grand idea that instead of us trying to piece together a bunch of different babysitters, I could leave him with them when I come home from Thanksgiving and she and dad would bring him back next weekend. I thought it would be a good idea too, however this is what I did the whole way home from Hot Springs.....
Seriously, it was so hard to leave him! We were away from him for 5 nights when we went to Key West, but it is WAY different when you are on vacation! Something about being at home without him is much harder, not to mention he is older now, so I feel like he will miss us more too! I know he will have a blast, and mom and dad will love showing him off in Hope, but it doesn't make it any easier on me!

Needless to say, I plan to stay very busy this week! We are going to put up our Christmas tree, shop, have date nights, etc. I know Friday will come sooner than I think! In the meantime, I will probably do some "therapeutic" posting to keep myself sane! I have some pictures to post from our weekend, so I will get those up throughout the week.

For those of you who feel sorry for Cole in that first picture, here are some more. He did recover.....

Thanksgiving

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We really enjoyed ours! We have SO much to be thankful for this year!

Lights Of The Ozarks

Saturday night we went to the Fayetteville Square to see the Lights Of The Ozarks. When we went last year, I was pregnant with Cole, so we couldn't wait to take him this year. It was freezing cold outside so we had to bundle up extra good! Here are the few pics we took...

Razorback Basketball

Last Thursday night, we took Cole to his first Razorback basketball game. I was a little nervous about how he would act, because the game didn't start until 7:00, and he normally goes to bed between 7:00-8:00p, however, he was such a trooper! He sat in awe the entire game! He is a "people watcher" like his momma, so he was in heaven:)! Ha, ha!

We saw Big Red as we were walking in, so we grabbed him for a quick photo op...

Evidently this is a new thing they are doing at half time. It is a bunch of different mascots playing basketball. There was Maggie Moo, Chick-Fil-A boy and girl cows, Papa John's Pizza, The Natural's mascot, etc. Personally, I was rooting for the big egg. I have no idea what he was a mascot for, but he made me laugh:)!
