Mornings at the Lake...

The sunrise from my parents lakehouse is SO pretty! It has been a few years since I have really seen it, but since Cole gets up at 7:00am, I get to enjoy it again! Thanks, Cole:)!

Here is a pic of Cole passed out on his play mat. I was sitting on the floor playing with him when my phone rang, and while I was talking to my sister, I noticed that he was being awful quiet. Well, this is why...he had fallen straight asleep! You can see the bruise on his leg from his shots! So sad:(!!!

All Aboard...

Saturday afternoon we loaded up and headed to the Signature Bank Cookout. August, Kim, and Lily rode down with us. The babies sat in the middle, the daddies "road popped" in the back, while Kim and I drove. For some reason it really cracked me up to see August and Patrick sitting in the WAY back! Kim is pregnant again, so I guess when this little bambino gets here, we'll just have to stick "it" in between the guys (or buy a bus?)!!! Ha, ha...

New Jeans

We put jeans on Cole for the first time today, and he looked like such a big boy! They were too long, so we had to cuff them, but he still looked "cool!" Cuffs are in, right:)???

Red Neck

Well, this isn't really a post about Cole, but I just had to do it! Patrick's brother, Kyle, is about as country as they come! Deer season is right around the corner, and he cannot wait! He came over to visit yesterday, and when we walked him out to his truck, this is what we found!!! Hilarious, and so typical of Kyle:)!!!!!


Now.....this is what I came home to after a quick run to Andy's Frozen Custard! A little background...I went to a trunk show about a month ago, and got Cole some really sweet outfits. The dressier type, that he can wear to church, and weddings and stuff. I knew this wasn't Patrick's style, so I intentionally stayed away from the smocked stuff, but found several little monogrammed outfits that I thought he could tolerate. Well, while I was out getting icecream, the UPS man must have arrived, because this is what I found! Patrick had duck taped this tacky sign to one of Cole's cute little outfits, and hung it from the light fixture in the breakfast room!



Kyle and Patrick, y'all are my 2 favorite "red necks"!!! Ha, ha.....

4 Month Check Up

We had Cole's 4 month check up yesterday. Here are his stats:

Height- 25 3/4 inches
Weight- 16lbs 2oz

Needless to say, he isn't quite as big as we thought he was. Everyone always comments on how big he is, and he is wearing 6-12 month clothes, so I expected these #'s to be bigger. He had all of us fooled:)!

Here are 10 things Cole is doing at 4 months:

* Squeals, "talks," and laughs outloud all the time (Patrick is REAL funny)
* Tummytime still isn't our favorite, but he is liking it more
* Follows our voices wherever we are (very nosey!)
* Playing more with his toys
* Reaches for everything
* Likes to pull hair (especially Patrick's arm and chest hair!)
* Rolls over (but not real often b/c he prefers his Jumperoo and Exersaucer)
* Blows bubbles/"spits" (not our best!)
* LOVES to stand up on your lap, or in front of a mirror
* Still loves his bath!

We are loving every minute of raising this sweet baby boy! Each day that goes by gets better and better!



This time we got 2 different kinds of bandaids. Bugs Bunny and Road Runner (I think that's who that is?)

This is what happens when you buy a full wardrobe of clothes when you are pregnant! Ha, ha! Good thing Cole has no idea he is a little "out of season!"

Big Boy!

I finally broke down today and cleaned Cole's closet out! We are officially in 6-12 month clothes! Who knew babies grew up so fast:(!?

While I sat and folded every piece of clothing with gentle care (ha, ha!), Cole "surfed" on his tummy time mat!

Happy Birthday

Saturday was mine and Kyle's birthday! I was 28 and Kyle was 30!!!

Patrick took me to dinner at Ruth's Chris Friday night, and Saturday night we celebrated with the family at Fusion 5.
