We had an amazing day at Miles for Miller!!! When we started planning this event we decided to keep it pretty low key and just have fun with it! Cupcakes and Cocktails was such a HUGE success that we decided we didn’t want to burn people out by asking for too much, too close together, so we thought we would keep things simple with no media sponsorships and only 1 level paid sponsorship ($250- logo on all race shirts, race website, race banner, and big screen at the race). Because we were only using social media and word of mouth as our advertising means we thought we might have 250-300 participants. Well, as you can imagine, with anything “Miller”, we doubled our expectations! We had well over 500 participants and raised right at $15,000!!! We were so excited with the turnout! It was a wonderful day spent with family and friends (new and old), all together to celebrate Miller and the legacy our sweet boy has left behind. I can’t believe it has been 1 whole year since he earned his angel wings! One thing is for sure, and that is that his presence is still here on Earth more than ever! I hope he is proud of us for the things we are doing in his name. We sure are proud of him:)!!!!!!
*Enjoy the pictures. I apologize that they are out of order and random, but it is a mix compiled from my camera, Rhonda’s camera, and a handful of Podium Images shots…..
This sweet family drove up from Conway. Their little girl, Zoey (18 months), was recently diagnosed with SMA Type II. It was so good to meet them, and I hope we can connect again in the near future…..
