Last Saturday, my mom, Cole, and I walked in the Race for the Cure. The Race is always such a special time for me because my mom is a (soon to be) 5 YEAR CANCER SURVIVOR!!! She was diagnosed with breast cancer 1/23/04 and had a double mastectomy 2/23/04. After months of chemo and radiation she finished up her treatments in August 2004. So this August, we are going to be celebrating BIG TIME!!! She faced this horrible disease with courage, confidence, and the most positive attitude you can ever imagine! She is truly a HERO in my eyes!!!! WE LOVE YOU PEG!!!!!
Still looking a little sleepy...

They had pink rubber duckies all around the fountain. We had to take a couple home for Cole to play with in the bathtub...

Having some watermelon...

There were vendor boths everywhere giving away free loot. We found the My Brother's Salsa booth and had to have a taste. Nothing like some hot salsa for breakfast...

And, we're off.....

This UPS truck was decorated for the race. My Uncle Kenny works for UPS, so we thought he would appreciate this picture:)...

Cole took a short nap. It didn't last long because I was worried that he couldn't breath, since he had his face buried so deep in the side of his stroller...
The finish line got a little congested, so we posed for a quick pic...

At the finish line!!!

We made it:).....

Exhausted after the 5k! It must be hard work cruisin in a stroller...

Of course, we had to go to Cracker Barrell and have a big greasy breakfast to reward ourselves;)!

Cole with his new friend Sophie. Sophie's mom was in a some of our classes we took while we were pregnant. She is a doll!

Waiting patiently on his pancake.....

We can't wait for the Race for the Cure in Little Rock this October! Hope to see some of you there:)!
