My Dad...The Fireman

Patrick went to their ranch this weekend to help his dad with a controlled burn. Patrick's family has an 1800 acre ranch in NWA, and every year they do a controlled burn to kill the under growth. Okay, so I'm acting like I know what I'm talking about......I DON'T! I never really understood, but didn't ask questions. Well, this year Patrick came home with pictures!!! Holy FIRE!!! They burned 300 acres in 3 days! Here are some pics of my crazy husband. Can you say pyromaniac???

Nice fire torch and GOGGLES, honey:)...

Uncle Kyle...

Patrick was real proud of this! He said this is a chimney, and it will burn for weeks (this might be an exaggeration) and shoots out flames!!!

Height- 30 3/4 inches (95%)

Here are some picture and a video I took while we were waiting on the doctor...

What else do you do while waiting on the doctor, but eat your socks/shoes and tear the paper off of the table...

Crazy Hair

Cole loves to sit by the front door of our house and let the sun shine in on him. You can tell that the sunshine really emphasizes his crazy tall hair:)! It has recently started to lay down a little bit (obviously not in these pictures) and I know one day when it doesn't do this at all anymore, I am going to miss it, so I thought I would capture it at it's best with a few quick snapshots.

No More "WTF" Outfits

Cole has officially outgrown all of his "WTF" outfits! As you all know, I am very OCD and I clean out his closet on a regular basis. On his 9 month birthday, I decided it was time to pack up all of the 6-12 month clothes. As I was doing this, I realized this meant that he had outgrown all of his little monogrammed outfits. If you refer to the Redneck post you will remember how much Patrick hated these outfits, so needless to say, Cole didn't get to sport them very often. Only 1 time each to be exact! As I was packing them up, I realized that he had never worn this one with his name on it. For some reason it made me really sad! To pack up the rest of his clothes is sad, because it means he is growing up, but I don't get emotional because I know if we have another boy one day, he will get to wear all of them, but the ones with his name/monogram on them are retired forever:(! This explains the following photo shoot (if you can even call it that). Patrick had to run a few errands, so the second he walked out the door I striped Cole down and got him all dolled up! I left him in it until Patrick came home because I wanted to see his reaction. I'll leave that part out...ha, ha!!!

Washing Machine

Cole has really gotten the hang of his walker. He can maneuver all over the house, in and out of tight spots, on the carpet, etc. The other day I was sitting at our dining room table doing some work on my laptop while he played in his walker. Well, he disappeared into the kitchen, so after he didn't come back for a little while and I didn't hear him anymore, I figured I better go see what he was up to. He has been very into pulling the Christmas cards off of the refrigerator, so I just knew I was going to walk in there and all the cards were going to be on the floor. Well, I was wrong...

The washing machine had him SO intrigued! He sat there and stared into it forever. I seriously think that if I hadn't pulled him out of there, he would have sat there and stared through the entire cycle! The little things in life:).....

Sho Gun

Here are some pictures from Cole's first visit to the ShoGun grill. He has been to ShoGun lots of times before, but we normally sit in the sushi area. I was a little nervous about how he was going to react, but for the most part he really liked it. I didn't get very good pictures, but I did catch a few funny expressions...

"Hmmm?...this table doesn't look like our table at home."

"Why is he banging and flinging spatulas around in the air???"

"HELP!!! Our table is on fire..."

Friends and Milestones

Cole has hit some pretty big milestones lately. I guess he wanted to start off the New Year with a BANG:)! He is officially "crawling", and he now goes from laying down to sitting up. I have been anxiously awaiting both of these milestones! He was 9 months old yesterday, so I just knew any day now he was going to surprise us. He probably won't walk until he is 18 months old. This boy is like his dad...not in a hurry to do anything! Mr. laid back:)!

I'll try to get both of these things on video, but in the meantime, here are some pics from dinner at the Carter's that I stole from Amber and Kate's blogs. Thanks, girls:)...
