My friend, Lauren, had her 2nd grade class make a “Where’s Miller"?” book. She gave them each a white piece of paper with /\/\/\/\/\ drawn on it, and told them to get creative. These kids all know Miller’s story, and have been very drawn to him from the beginning of our journey. When we got this in the mail we were so surprised and touched. Thank you to Mrs. Eide’s class for such a priceless gift!!!

Lost undies
Cole was helping daddy do the laundry the other night and he accidentally threw a pair of his underwear behind the dryer. You would have thought the world had come to an end!!! He was devastated! I wish I had gotten a picture of the big ole alligator tears streaming down his face. It was pitiful:(. Needless to say, it took some serious digging to get them out, but we did recover them (along with several other treasures)……..

Fun with Nana & Papa
Cole goes to Nana & Papa’s every Tuesday and Thursday. I don’t know who looks more forward to those days, Cole or them? I think it’s a tie;). They are always on the go and exploring new things. Here is a picture of Cole at Beaver, AR (by Table Rock).

Playing Easter
After Christmas, Cole came up with the idea to “Play Santa”. He would go upstairs at Nana & Papa’s house where all of the Christmas stuff was and tell you to sit on the couch with your eyes closed. While you were “sleeping” he would get this little sleigh and fill it up with random toys from his toy chest. Then he would bring the sleigh over to you (while you’re still “sleeping”) and lay all of the toys out in front of you. Once this was done, he would wake you up and you were supposed to acted super excited about what Santa had left you:). Well, Christmas has come and gone, so now Cole decided that it is time to “Play Easter”. It’s the same concept, just different holiday. LOL. Here are some pics of Cole and Papa (and Suzy) playing Easter…..

We meet Claire & Laney
I’m sure have heard me mention Claire & Laney. They are the seniors in high school, who we had never met until this weekend, that made this awesome video of SMA/Miller:
We finally got to meet them this weekend! Claire is doing her senior project on genetic diseases, so she wanted to interview us again. Since she was coming to town for that, she decided to invite Laney and make a weekend of it. We had so much fun! I feel like I have known them forever! Friday night, Patrick had a chamber banquet, so Cole and I took the girls to dinner. We came home and watched a little Max & Ruby, then called it an early night. Saturday morning we made breakfast before the girls headed out to shop for prom dresses, have lunch with a friend, and meet one of Claire’s roommates for next year when she comes to the University. Cole had a birthday party to go to Saturday afternoon, so we went to that and then took him to Nana & Papa’s so we could come home and do our interview. After the interview, Nana & Papa brought Cole home, and Patrick and I went on a date night while Claire & Laney took Cole to Chucky Cheese’s and TCBY. We went to Copeland’s for dinner and then to see The Vow. It was a really good movie, however, I was a little disappointed at the end of it. Left me wanting more.
Here are some pictures Claire took while she was here…..
*Cole told them all about Minner MACneil being in the moon
…..
Thank you Claire & Laney for such a fun weekend! We can’t wait to see you all again, and especially can’t wait to have Claire closer next year

Party with a Purpose- McKayla
McKayla is another sweet little girl who offered to have donations made to Miller’s foundation, in lieu of birthday gifts. We continue to be amazed by the amount of people who have made such a generous/selfless offer! Thank you McKayla (and Mandy & Vernon) for doing this for us! It touched our hearts more than you know! We had a wonderful time at the party! Thank you for inviting us:)…..

Eye Doctor
It ended up taking Cole’s eye FOREVER to heal. Not only was it black/blue, but there was blood in the corner of it. Nana’s grandma intuition kicked in and she suggested that we have it checked out. I’ve always been one to believe “better safe than sorry”, so I agreed that we should probably have it looked at. Rhonda called one of her friends and they got us in the very next day to get our little guy’s eye checked out. I wasn’t sure how he would cooperate, but he loved it:)…..

End of Itty Bitty Basketball
Cole had his last session of Itty Bitty Basketball. It was probably his favorite session yet, and they got team pictures taken:).
Here is a video of him practicing his free throws…..
Now working on passing and shooting…..
And last but not least, dribbling “red light/green light” style…..
Solo shots
