Hot Springs/Horse Races

We have had such a fun weekend!  We drove down to Hot Springs last night with Meagan and David Baker and spent the night at my parents lake house.  Today, we went to Oaklawn to watch the ponies run, then came back to enjoy some family time……

Late night game of basketball.  It was all fun and games until the ball rolled into the lake.  Bud told Cole it would be back in the morning.  I think someone might be going to Wal-Mart bright and early in the morning…..

Trip to the Dentist

Cole had his first dentist appointment this week!  I was a little nervous about how he was going to do, but he did GREAT!  Luckily, since he uses a Sonicare toothbrush at home, the polishing brush didn’t freak him out at all!  It took him a minute to get used to the water gun and suction straw, but by the end of the appointment he was a pro:).  He chose chocolate flavored toothpaste and mint flavored fluoride.  Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite flavor of ice cream, so I thought that was a perfect combination;)!  He left with a clean bill of health (no cavities) and a bouncy ball!

Itty Bitty Basketball

Cole has started Itty Bitty Basketball at the YMCA.  To say he loves it would be an understatement.  He had SO much fun!!!  We will definitely be looking forward to Thursday nights for the next couple of months:)…..

Quail Hunt

Not many 3 year old boys can say they’ve been on a quail hunt!  Well, Cole Crews Woodruff can check it off his list!  Last Sunday he went on a quail hunt with Patrick, Papa, Uncle Kyle, and David Baker.  It was Papa’s grand idea to take Cole along, and I think he secretly may have regretted that decision the next day, after walking with Cole on his shoulders all day long!  Not to mention they took a couple of tumbles, and Cole hung on around Papa’s neck as if he was riding a bucking bronco;)! LOL!!!  I’m sure if you asked Papa, he would say it was worth every ache and pain he felt the next day.  These two are 2 peas in a pod……
