McNeil Family Baptismal Gown

If you remember from Cole's Baptism post, my family and Patrick's family both have baptismal gowns that have been passed down for MANY years! We were so excited to have such a special gown for Cole to wear, but were a bit stressed about deciding which one he would wear for the big day! Our decision was made easy when we attempted to try on the McNeil family gown. It didn't fit! It is a long sleeve gown, and his big hands wouldn't fit through the cuffs. Needless to say, he ended up wearing the Woodruff's gown, which is definitely just as special!

We promised Grammy a picture of Cole in the McNeil family gown, so here is our attempt at a photo shoot. We just laid it on top of him and buttoned it around his neck! Ha, ha! You can't even tell it is supposed to have sleeves.

Isn't it so pretty! It is 98 years old, and has been worn in over 30 baptisms! Pretty neat!

Funny Bone

Cole has started this new thing where he will BUST out laughing for no apparent reason! It is the funniest thing in the world! He has always been very easy to get to laugh, but this is completely different, because he does it with no instigating.

This video is of the first time it happened. I had just given him a bath and was getting his pj's on, and he just looked at me and cracked up! He couldn't contain himself! He was laughing so hard his face was turning red, his eyes were watering, and he could hardly catch his breath! Patrick hadn't made it home from hunting yet, so I grabed the camera to get a little on video so he could enjoy it too! By the time I got my camera, he had seriously been laughing for about 5 minutes already and he continued for probably 5 minutes longer after I got this video!

After a while I started to get a complex, thinking I must be really funny looking!!! I had actually taken my eye makeup off while I was giving him a bath, so I thought maybe I had black streaks running down my face, but I checked myself out in the mirror, and I didn't. Who knows what was going through his little head?

Since then, he has done it for my mom and Rhonda on separate occasions. He will also belly laugh when he sees something funny on TV, and he still thinks Lucy is pretty funny too!

Silly boy.....

Driving

Here is a video of Cole behind the wheel! He is a pretty crazy driver:)! The sound effects when he pulls/pushes the green gear shifter are too funny!

Mamaw's Swing

While we were in Hope, we went by to see Mamaw. Mamaw LOVES to swing. As a matter of fact, she probably spends 80% of her time in this swing! You can tell by these pictures that Cole thought Mamaw's swing was pretty fun too...

Bud's Bank

While we were in Hope, we stopped by the bank to visit Bud. Dad blew up a balloon and put it on Cole's wrist with a rubber band. Cole couldn't figure out how to get it off, but he had a blast trying! He kept hitting himself in the head over and over. Watch the video and you can see (don't forget to pause the music at the bottom of the blog so you can hear the video)...

Fruit

We've mastered all of the fruit! I know you all crack up about me being so OCD, so you can only imagine that each of his fruits and veggies have been very strategically introduced:)!!! Don't even ask:)! Ha, ha!

Now that we have tried everything, we just sort of mix and match (crazy, I know!). Here is what his "menu" consists of everyday:

Breakfast- Fruit mixed with cereal/bottle (4oz)
Lunch- Veggie and Fruit/bottle (4oz)
Snack- Bottle (8oz)
Dinner- Veggie and Fruit mixed with cereal/bottle (4oz)

As you can see, he has slowed WAY down on his formula consumption since he has been eating more baby food. I thought about stressing over it, but then I read somewhere (imagine that, ha!) that as long as he is getting at least 20oz/day, it is fine. Occasionally, he will take more than 4oz after breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but not very often.

Kathy's Baby Shower

Here is a picture from Kathy's baby shower in Little Rock. Most of you have probably already seen a similar picture on some of my friends blogs, but I thought I would go ahead and post mine too:)!

We had so much fun! Kathy looked ADORABLE, and Baby Perry got lots of good loot!

First Hayride

Last weekend we finally made our trip to a Pumpkin Patch. Of course, because it is so late in the season, there weren't a whole lot of pumpkins left. However, that didn't bother us! This pumpkin patch had a hayride, tire swings, a corn maze, a creek to throw rocks in, an animal show, and a petting zoo! It was so much fun! I can't wait until next year!!!

Obviously I was a little more excited to be here than Cole was:)

Mamaw & Melissa

Last weekend, Mamaw and Melissa came to Hot Springs to visit Cole. We hate that we live so far away from them and don't get to see them very often.
