Pasta Party at Carrabba’s

We had a great time at the Pasta Party at Carrabba’s!  They aren’t normally open for lunch, but they have started hosting fundraisers for various charities.  It is an awesome deal!  They offered us 2 different seatings (11:00am/1:00pm) and we presold tickets for each seating.  Tickets were $15 each with $10 of ever ticket sale going straight to the foundation.  We ended up raising over $1500 at this event alone!  Thank you Carrabba’s, and thank you to all of you who came out to have a lunch date for Miller:)!

Goodie Bags Galore

The Monday night before Miles for Miller, Cole stayed at Nana and Papa’s so Patrick and I could stuff goodie bags.  We had a ton of people volunteer to help us stuff these bags, but I wasn’t exactly sure when we were going to get around to doing it, so rather than try to nail down a time that worked for everyone, Patrick and I just decided to do it ourselves.  We made about 150 laps EACH around our dining room table!  It might sound like a miserable time, but we actually had a lot of fun doing it.  Patrick’s favorite thing was to try and “lap” me;).  One of the things we didn’t think about was “Where in the world are we going to put these bags after they are stuffed?”.  Needless to say, our entry way was quickly overtaken by Goodie Bag Galore……..

Father’s Day Weekend at Spring Lakes

White Water

On Saturday we took Cole to White Water.  Since it was Miller’s 1 year “Angel Anniversary” we wanted to do something FUN and adventurous to keep us busy.  It was the perfect day!  The morning started out out a little sad, but once we got out of the house and on the road our spirits were lifted.  We reminisced about Miller the whole car ride there and back, and LOVED watching Big Brother Cole laugh and play.  As I’ve always said, that is the best medicine for our souls!  Thank you so much to those of you who reached out to let us know you were thinking of us and our sweet boy. 

“Miller Night” at the Naturals Game

The Naturals are WITH MILLER!  They hosted a Community Partners program last Thursday night that benefited The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation.  We sold tickets for face value ($8) and got to keep $4 of every ticket sale.  Thanks to the efforts of a group of our friends, we sold 368 tickets!!!!!!!!!   They said this was the biggest response from a Community Partners program they have ever had!!!  Go Miller!!!  Cole got to throw out the 1st pitch, so it was a special night for him too (be sure to watch the video at the bottom)!  It made our hearts so happy to see Miller honored AND his Big Brother having so much fun, all in one night:)!!!  Thanks to those of you who sold tickets, and to those of you who came out to spend the evening with us.  It was a great night!
