Big Boy!

I finally broke down today and cleaned Cole's closet out! We are officially in 6-12 month clothes! Who knew babies grew up so fast:(!?

While I sat and folded every piece of clothing with gentle care (ha, ha!), Cole "surfed" on his tummy time mat!

Happy Birthday

Saturday was mine and Kyle's birthday! I was 28 and Kyle was 30!!!

Patrick took me to dinner at Ruth's Chris Friday night, and Saturday night we celebrated with the family at Fusion 5.

Here is Cole with the birthday boy...

Cole with Mimi and Pops...

Patrick and Cole. Cole got all dressed up for the occasion:)...

Family pic...

Harley

One of our friends came over with their new Harley. Cole wasn't too sure what to think of it! Don't worry dad...I didn't ride on it, and I wouldn't let Patrick drive it either! He sat on it with the engine on, and reved the motor, and that made me nervous enough!

1st Trip to ARTEX

Patrick and I took Cole out to Artex on Friday. It was yucky and rainy outside, so we didn't get many good pictures, but here are the few I took...

Patrick wouldn't let me post pictures of the big bucks we saw, because he said it is "top secret," so here is a picture of the only other wildlife we saw:)...

Cole is sporting his camo Cabela's overalls! He looks like a natural! I think we have a future "nature boy" on our hands...

Since it was rainy outside, we posed by the stuffed animals inside. Ha, ha!!! Here he is with the bobcats! I know this will make all of our Hope family and friends proud...

A little freaked out by the coyote...or is that a wolf??? I don't know, but it freaks me out too!!!

Like father, like son...posing with the turkey...

God is good, God is great...

let us thank him for our food...AMEN!!!

Here is a picture of Cole in his new highchair. It looks like I interrupted him saying his prayers! Ha, ha...

1st "Documented" Roll Over

Here are some pics of Cole's 1st "documented" roll over. I had just laid him down on his play mat, and was washing bottles, and the next thing I knew, I turned around and he was ALMOST over! I grabbed the camera, thinking I would be able to capture it on video, but I was too late!

Initial reaction after the "big roll"...

Oops...we have a stuck arm!

Playing it cool, as if his arm is stuck there on purpose...

"Oh yea, much better! Thanks, mom:)!"

"HELP ME!!! This is NOT fun anymore!"

SOMEDAY I'll have a hairy chest...

Our friends, Tommy and Susan, gave Cole a t-shirt that says "SOMEDAY I'll have a hairy chest!" Those of you that know how EXTREMELY hairy Patrick is, know just how funny this really is! Ha, ha! I'm sorry Cole:).....

CEREAL

Here are some pictures of Cole's first experience with cereal. The pictures aren't very good, but you get the idea...

First bite.....

"Hey guys...there is something weird in my mouth!"

"Oh, yeah! I can do this! I am such a big boy:)!"

Patrick could not stand the mess, so every bite, he would wipe his mouth with his finger! I think my OCD has finally rubbed off on him:)!!!

"YUMMY"

You can hear mom and me giving Patrick direction in the background! How many people does it take to feed a baby cereal???

4 Months Old!

Cole had his 4 month old birthday on Sunday!!! We celebrated by eating rice cereal for the first time! Woo Hooo!!! I can't believe how big he is getting.

He rolled over for the first time on Wednesday when the babysitter was here! I thought I would be sad about missing his first milestones, but honestly, I was just so proud of him, that I didn't even think about throwing a pity party for myself! As Kate always points out, even if we were stay at home moms, we could still miss firsts, anytime we are away from them. It has nothing to do with being at work. I could have just as easily been running errands on the weekend, getting a manicure, shopping, etc...:)!!! I really am fortunate for my job, (and my sweet boss...Lisa, are you reading this???)! I love my job, and I love the people I work with, so it makes leaving him in the mornings, (and missing milestones!) alot easier. Anyway, enough on that...

Cole is full of personality now! He laughs and smiles all the time, and for the most part, is a really happy baby! He definitely has a temper, and knows what he wants, but who doesn't??? Ha, ha! He grabs at everything in reach, and loves to put his hands all over your face when you are holding him! He is more and more interested in his toys, and still LOVES his Baby Einstein and Praise Baby DVDs!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEG!

Today was Peg's birthday! Since we couldn't be there to celebrate, we decided to get a little creative. Our photo shoot didn't turn out quite like I had planned, but here is a series of pictures to show our attempt...

My New Friend

Here are some pics of Cole playing in his exersaucer. As you can tell, he is very partial to the smiley faced sun! He will stare and talk to it forever!

Exersaucer

Cole was so excited to play in his new exersaucer! Patrick went to Artex after work, so I put it together all by myself:)! Cole sat there and watched me, and he could not wait to get in it! This is his expression once he finally got to play in it! He has the biggest "bug eyes" (as Bud calls them) when he gets excited!!! Ha, ha...

Exhausted!

Cole fell asleep in his Jumperoo Tuesday evening! Mimi must have worn him out:)!

Patrick would tickle his feet to wake him up, and he would fall right back asleep!

Peek A Boo

Here is Cole playing a game of peek-a-boo with Brady. The boys had so much fun with Cole and he loved them! Cole is lucky to have such sweet cousins:)! The video is a little out of focus, so sorry about that. A little tip...you may want to go down to the bottom of my blog and pause the music so you can actually hear the video. Also, if it struggles playing through the first time, let it go through completely and then play it a second time.

FCC Golf Tourney...

I know these pictures are late, but I didn't take any from the weekend with my camera, so I had to wait and steal some from Kim's blog:)...

Here are the girls with the kiddos at the pool...

The guys at Bordino's before dinner. What studs...

Fun in the Sun

Here are some pics I stole from Lindsey's blog...

Brady tubing...No hands, watch out:)!!!

We couldn't convince Ryan to get on the tube. I even offered to ride with him! He wasn't having anything to do with it...

Tummy Time with Bud!

We had so much fun at the lake this weekend!

It was our first night away from Patrick, so I was a little nervous! Patrick is such a HUGE help, so I knew we would miss him! He gives Cole his bath every night (I sit on the edge of the tub with my feet in the water and talk to Cole about his day), he gets him completely ready for bed, and he gets him changed in the morning. Of course, all of this is stuff that I am completely capable of doing, but I am a bit spoiled:)! However, with the help of Peg, Bud, Lindsey and the boys, we survived!

It was SO hot, so most of our time was spent inside, but we did go down to the swim dock and play in the pool under the umbrella for a little while. I didn't get any pictures of that, but I will post pictures of Brady tubing later...

Get Well Soon Grammy!

On Friday Cole and I headed to Hot Springs. We detoured through Little Rock to visit Grammy. She fell last week and broke her pelvic bone, so she is in the rehab hospital getting all better. She was quick to let us know that she is definitely the most popular patient there, but she is NOT the oldest! This was a bad thing in Grammy's book! Most people would be more than happy to not be the oldest, but at 90 years old, she is used to being the oldest, and I think she likes the attention that comes along with it:)! We hope you get well soon, Grammy!!!!!

I had a video of Cole with Grammy that I wanted to load, but after 1 million unsuccessful tries, I decided I would give up:(! I will try again tomorrow...
