Mattie Eve

We had a great day today!  My parents, sister and nephews have been in town since Friday helping us get ready for Miss Mattie’s arrival.

We went to church this morning, had brunch at Fred’s Hickory Inn, toured Crystal Bridges, then came home and all took 2 hour naps.  It doesn’t get much better than that!

I can’t believe our sweet girl will be here tomorrow!!!  We go in at 7:30am to start the induction process.  Please pray for a safe and smooth delivery ending with a healthy baby and momma:).

Guardian Angel

I recently posted this picture of Miller on Facebook and Instagram, but I love it so much I thought I would share it with the blog world as well:).  As this pregnancy comes to an end I find myself thinking more and more of Miller.  Of course, not a day goes by that I don’t think about him, but it’s been more than ever lately.  It’s emotional thinking back on the end of my pregnancy with Miller.  Remembering how happy and clueless we were.  We had NO idea how much our world was about to change.  It’s still very surreal, almost like an out of body experience.  I don’t let myself think about the “could have/should have/would have’s” very often, simply because there is no point.  It makes me sad to think of those things, so I choose to remind myself that those things never “could have/should have/would have”, because they were NEVER part of Miller’s plan.  His 87 days were planned long before he was even thought of.  God knew what he was doing when he placed Miller on this earth and Miller fulfilled his life’s purpose flawlessly.  I am so proud of this sweet baby boy and feel blessed beyond measure to call myself his mommy and know that he will FOREVER be our Guardian Angel…..

Mile High Miles for Miller

The Feagans Family made their annual trip to Denver to participate in FSMA’s 2012 Colorado’s Cure SMA Walk-N-Roll & Run fundraising event.  Their family lives in the area, so they make it a family affair and all walk in memory of our sweet Miller.  They are HUGE Broncos fans, so they usually squeeze in a Sunday Night Football game while they are there too;).  We weren’t able to go last year, and obviously I wasn’t going to travel this year being huge and pregnant, but we look forward to joining the festivities one of these days.

Happy Birthday Reese!

Mom Fail:(…….I got this text from my friend, Amanda, today:

“We missed u at Reese’s party.  Everything ok?”

I felt SO bad:(!  We never miss birthday parties!  Cole had been looking so forward to going to Jump Zone to celebrate Reese’s birthday and I missed it.  He was sleeping when I got the text and I dreaded him waking up and me having to tell him we missed out:(.

I’m blaming it on Baby Brain;).  I will say that it ended up working to our advantage though, because we decided to stop by their place and give Reese her present while we were out picking up dinner so we got to spend some one-on-one time with Miss Reese (and her baby sister, Bryce, who is just shy of 1 month old!).

Our Poor Piggies…..

Once again, the rain put a damper on our plans for the AR vs. Alabama football game.  It was a wet & cold day so we decided to stay at home and watch the football game from the comfort of our own living room:)!

I don’t consider myself to be a fair-weather fan.  I pride myself on being loyal to the Hogs no matter what, however, this game was painful to watchSad smile.  I’m not going to lie, I didn’t expect us to win, but at least putting a score on the board would have been nice.  Oh well, there’s always next week, rightSmile?  In the meantime, Cole decided he would sleep through the last part of the game.  He just couldn’t take it anymoreWinking smile…..

Friday Night Plans…

We were supposed to go see…..

However, due to the crazy amounts of rain we got prior to and during the concert (did I mention it was an outside concert?), we decided to stay home instead.  What Patrick didn’t know when he agreed to stay home is that I had rented this at RedBoxWinking smile…..

Needless to say, he passed out 10 minutes into the movie and I stayed awake watching it by myself.  LOL!  I really can’t say I blame him, it was pretty badSad smile!

Update on Miss Mattie

Check out Mattie’s new burp rag!  Our friends, the Haley’s, gave this to her and I just love it!

429891_4050183490729_1598143121_n[2]

I know you are all dying to know what’s going on with Miss Mattie, so I thought I would give a brief update.  As of today, she is still “cooking”.  I’m dilated to a 2 and 60% effaced.  I never progressed much on my own with either of the boys, so this is new to me.  Dr. Birch seems to think I MIGHT go early on my own, but I can’t imagine that happening since I had to be induced at term with both boys and had EXTREMELY long labors (31 & 17 hours!).  I guess the fact that Mattie is my 3rd baby and she and Miller are only 18 months apart might make a difference?  Who knows?  She’ll come when she’s good and ready.  In the meantime, I am nesting OUT.OF.CONTROL and loving every second of it.  Patrick has caught the nesting bug too and has been a huge help around the houseSmile!!!

Cupcakes & Cocktails- PRESENTING SPONSOR

I can’t believe it’s already that time!  We have started planning Cupcakes & Cocktails 2013!  Be sure and save the date on your calendar!  It will be…..FRIDAY, MARCH 29th at the Fayetteville Town Center.  For those of you that attended last year you will remember it was a PACKED house!  Almost a little too packed;)!  What a WONDERFUL problem to have though, huh?  This year we are going to try to work on layout /logistics to make sure everyone is comfortable and able to really enjoy the evening.  It is going to be such a fun night that you won’t want to miss out on, so stay tuned for the announcement of ticket sales and make sure you get yours before they are gone!

For now we are working on securing our sponsors.  I will announce a complete list of sponsors next month, but in the meantime I want to give a big shout out to our PRESENTING SPONSOR, Northwest Arkansas Center for Plastic Surgery:logo2269961_xlarge-01

Thank you SO much to Dr. Heath Stacey, along with his staff AND his family for all of the support that you have offered The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation over the last 1.5 years.  Your generosity is humbling.
